About Kashkoli Rugs

Kashkoli rugs are woven by the Kashkoli, a sub-tribe of the Qashqai confederacy of southwestern Persia. Sharing the bold geometric vocabulary and lustrous natural wool of the broader Qashqai tradition, Kashkoli pieces are distinguished by their particularly lively, graphic designs — often featuring diamond medallions, stylized animals, and vibrant boteh motifs on rich red or blue grounds. Each hand-knotted piece reflects authentic nomadic tribal craft. Their spirited color and individuality make Kashkoli rugs a prized find among collectors of fine Persian tribal weavings.
