Tapestry
Choosing the right size is one of the most important rug decisions. Our collection is organized from small mats and 3x5 accents, through 4x6 and 5x7 rugs for bedsides and home offices, to 6x9 rugs for smaller living and dining rooms, and 8x10, 9x12, and 10x14 rugs for main living spaces. Oversized rugs, larger than 9x12, suit great rooms and open floor plans, while runners are ideal for hallways, kitchens, and staircases. Round and square rugs anchor entryways, dining tables, and seating nooks.
A helpful rule of thumb: in a living room, keep at least the front legs of your main seating on the rug, and in a dining room, choose a rug large enough that the chairs stay on it when pulled out. Because every rug is one of a kind, exact dimensions vary, so check each listing for measurements.
Not sure which size is right? Contact First Rugs to schedule a design consultation, including in-home space measuring, or visit our Acton or Boston SoWa showrooms.
