About Sarouk Rugs

Sarouk rugs come from the Arak region of central Persia and are renowned for dense, durable construction and richly detailed floral work. Antique Ferahan Sarouks are finely woven and refined, while the well-known American Sarouk style features detached floral sprays on deep rose and red grounds. Their robust hand-knotted wool wears beautifully over generations. Collectors value Sarouks for combining formal Persian elegance with the strength to serve as everyday investment-quality furnishings.

Chosen individually by First Rugs, this Farahan Sarouk carries the dense, richly detailed floral work the region is celebrated for. Its size makes it a natural fit for a living, family, or dining room, and it is handmade in wool that wears beautifully over generations. Rotate it periodically for even fading and consider a professional cleaning every one to three years to protect its beauty and value.
